Why Steve Farnsworth?
Steve is a native Californian. He was born and raised in Southern
California, and moved to the Bay Area after college to join a management
consulting firm. For the next 20 years Steve developed and managed
marketing and public relations programs for high technology companies
around Silicon Valley.
Steve’s family had been involved in investment real estate for
several generations. His family sold Robert Redford the land that is
now Sundance. Steve waits diligently every year for an invitation to
join Bobby and the gang for a few films, but so far the said invitation
has not materialized.
It wasn’t until the last few years that Steve caught the real
estate bug, too. And catch it he did. He felt so strongly about changing
careers that he left his senior management job at a funded start-up
company to work for a national mortgage brokerage. After joining the
local office the team significantly grew their loan originations, placing
the office regularly in the top five offices nationwide. However, good
enough wasn’t good enough. Steve began hearing great things about
Adamarc and its people. Intrigued, he contacted Adamarc and arranged
a meeting, and after talking with its founder and senior management
he knew that joining the team was the right move to make.
Steve has lived in Menlo Park for the last 17 years. If you ask him
what he reads he would tell you he likes short stories and science
books, and then quickly change the subject by asking what you are reading.
This is merely to conceal his guilty pleasure of reading way too many
fiction and non-fiction books about espionage and spies. Also, he thinks
it would be great to tell you that he has some deeply fascinating hobby,
like rescuing orphaned Harp seal pups in the Arctic during the spring
melt-off, but he doesn’t.
However, he does volunteer his time to run food drives for The Second
Harvest Food Bank, manage public relations and educational events for
a veteran’s organization that has authentically restored a Vietnam-era
Huey, coordinate blood drives for the Blood Centers of the Pacific,
build family homes with Habitat for Humanity, and serve as a media
coordinator volunteer for the Red Cross.
